Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers, on and off the hotline, are heroes to CrisisLink and the community. With nearly 150 volunteers answering phones, providing community training, advocating for services, and providing governance, CrisisLink is able to apply 81 cents of every dollar directly to programs — programs that save lives, enliven hope, and build communities.

Calendar of volunteer opportunities.

Consider becoming a volunteer. While the majority of our volunteers are highly trained hotline listeners, there is a place for anyone to help within our organization.

Take a look at all of our current volunteer opportunities.

Being a volunteer Hotline listener involves a major commitment. Please read the commitment page carefully before you apply. If you’re sure the crisis Hotline is the place for you, contact michelle@crisislink.org or call 703-516-6778.

Volunteer Information Sessions

Information Sessions are currently being scheduled in May for preperation of the Spring Training Classes to begin June 1, 2013. Please contact volunteer@crisislink.org or (703) 516-6778 for more details.

Information sessions provide you with information about CrisisLink, what it is like to work on our hotline, as well as information about our application and training process.

If you’d like CrisisLink to make an informational presentation to your group or community, please e-mail us.
